Mahesh Shetty Pens Emotional Note For Sushant, Bhumi Pednekar Says He Was A ‘Neutron Star’

A brilliant actor, intellectual human, a kind soul – these are just a few words that friends and colleagues have used to describe late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. From his best friend Rohini Iyer to celebrities from the industry, many people have been recollecting happy memories they shared with the star.

Speaking of which, SSR’s ‘Sonchiriya’ co-star Bhumi Pednekar spoke about the lasting impact that he had on her, reports NDTV. Bhumi shared a picture of a notebook, listing all the life lessons that Sushant bestowed upon her. In a beautifully written post, she described SSR as a “Supernova”.

She wrote, “I wake up in the morning and I think of you, I think of all our chats, your habits, and moods. Then it kicks in, a pain I couldn’t imagine I would feel for you.” Recalling their first meeting, she said,

“The 1st time we met, you told me you would show me the stars, in my head, I wondered-ya whatever, what a cheese ball. Little did I know you meant every word you said. With a smile full of pride you showed it to us, this massive big black hole, your best friend, your telescope.”

Bhumi mentioned how there was a sparkle in Sushant’s eyes every time he spoke about the universe. “Full of excitement, in the middle of nowhere, you jumped like a child, ready to take us all on a journey. You took us to the moon & back, I remember the moon being red then.”

From Van Gogh to Beethoven to Newton’s theories, the co-stars spoke about a varied range of subjects. Bhumi mentioned how SSR’s range of interests had no limits. Speaking of his transformation from a co-star to a teacher, Bhumi wrote,

“I remember your excitement on all the questions I asked, getting an answer from you wasn’t easy, you would turn that too into a learning task. You my friend gave me an experience of a lifetime. You were like the emergence of a Chaos. A chaos so different and potent it’s hard to explain.”

Shedding light on his untimely demise she said,

“Your genius will live on with all the work you’ve done. And through that telescope I’ll spot you again, it will be easy- cause you will be the youngest & the brightest amoungst many we love up there. You truly are a double slit photon, A Neutron Star.”

Similarly, Sushant’s close friend Mahesh Shetty, who worked with him in the TV series Pavitra Rishta, penned a heartfelt note for him, reports News18. Describing the brotherly bond he shared with SSR, Mahesh wrote,

“It’s a strange feeling. I have so much to say yet I’m speechless. Sometimes in life, you meet someone and feel an instant connection as if you’ve known him all your life and you realize that you don’t have to be born from the same womb to be brothers. This is how we met… We met as brothers.”

The actors bonded over their love for food and long walks. Mahesh mentioned how both of them were introverts. He explained how they shared a unique bond and their friendship did not thrive on public display of affection. He wrote,

“His success, his achievements, his work… he was always a perfectionist and no matter what I say, I will never be able to explain the genius in him. He was an inspiration to almost everyone around me and that made me even more proud. He was always so full of life with dreams in his eyes. All those who loved him always automatically became a part of my family too and will always remain that way.”

Mahesh was at a loss for words over his friend’s sudden demise. He said he’ll always hold grudges against the late actor for not opening up his heart completely. He wrote,

“You knew that Shetty hai aur tere saath humesha rahega. Then why??? Baat to kar leta yaar !!! How I really wish that call would have come through kamini… Life can never be the same !!! I know how much you loved the stars… Dharti Maa Ki Kasam, I’ll be looking out for you every night brother.”

Reading such heartwarming posts about the late actor sure makes me emotional. SSR was a gem of a person and he will truly be missed.
