‘Beyhadh’ Actor, Piyush Sahdev Just Got Arrested On Rape Charges. Wife Denies Knowledge.

Popular daily soap ‘Beyhadh’ came with a refreshing storyline, at a time when bahus were turning into houseflies and soon won over audiences with the character development in the serial. Audiences loved the psychopathic Maya and her antics to keep the love of her life Arjun all to herself and even her ex-boyfriend Samay trying to win over her favours.

But, a recent news has shaken the television industry and left the fans of the show completely numb as Piyush Sahdev, the actor who played the obsessed-lover Samay has been charged with rape.

An actress recently accused Sahdev of raping her and filed a report in Versova Police Station. Senior Police Inspector, Kiran Kale confirmed the news and told Bombay Times,

“Yes, Piyush Sahdev has been arrested under Section 376, following rape charges. He is in remand.”

On being contacted, his father Kulveer Singh Sahdev denied any knowledge of the incident and said that he had no clue about it since he is in Delhi, but plans to look into it.

Piyush Sahdev’s estranged wife, actress Akangsha Rawat, also denied any knowledge of the incident and said,

“I have not been in touch with Piyush since the last four months. So, I am not aware of anything.”

They have been living separately since April and his wife filed a case of cruelty and harassment against him last month. Further details are yet to be revealed in this case.
