Bengaluru Company Asks For ₹4.5K Security Deposit From Employees For Work From Home Job

Every year, hundreds of youngsters shift to Bengaluru searching for a job. Known as the “Silicon Valley of India”, Bengaluru promises good jobs, steady growth and a comfortable life. However, certain companies in the city, like elsewhere, scam prospective employees.

For example, a person on Reddit, u/ksureshseervi1, took to the subreddit r/bangalore to allege that a company named Sky Impact Solutions which is located in HSR Layout is asking candidates for a Rs 4,500 security deposit for work-from-home data entry jobs.

“Miss Kanika lures the candidates, she calls them and informs them that they have been shortlisted for a job interview. She does not tell about the security deposit over the phone. The innocent candidates are informed about the security deposit amount only during the interview. The candidates are made to pay the security amount through a QR code which is linked to an individual account named SONIA,” the user claimed.

The user further added that after the payment was made, they got the login details to start the work. But when they realised that they were being made to work on sketchy projects, they demanded back the security deposit. But the company refused to give them back the money.

Several people online were left shocked after learning about this. While some shared similar experiences, others urged candidates to never pay a security deposit to any company.
