A while back, the decision of a company to cancel all lunch meetings so that employees have enough time to eat sparked an important discussion on unwinding from work and focusing on our physical and mental health. Another discourse on the pitfalls of being a workaholic initiated this morning after entrepreneur and publisher Sandeep Mall narrated how his colleagues were replaced by HR in less than a day.
I lost two colleagues in last one year and it didn’t take the HR more than 24 hours to find a replacement. The job because of which u don’t have time for yourself or your family will forget you in a moment. Set ur priorities and live a balanced life. Self care first.

His tweet on self-care and prioritizing one’s personal life over work resonated with many. People said it was a harsh truth that all of us are dispensable at work; which is why we shouldn’t give everything to our jobs especially at the cost of our health and that of our loved ones. Some even suggested that the message be prominently displayed at offices so that we don’t forget the lesson.
Most people can live happily even with fraction of what they actually chase but they continue to chase more and more – we are robotised thru school system, very hard to break free

Rightly said. We’re replaceable for everyone except ourselves !

It's amazing to me people are willing to work so hard so that one day they can have more time with their family at the actual expense of their family – Richie Norton

So profound! Had a similar https://t.co/0YD3MtTMYm of my acquaintances who lost her pediatrician father, recalled that one if his old patients called on his phone for consultation. On being told of his demise, he asked them to recommend another doctor. Nothing else. https://t.co/EAZxGMdHUH

Working hard towards our career goals is important but so is travelling with family, spending quality time with them and taking days off so as to not feel overworked. A healthy work-life balance is what we should be striving for, don’t you think?
