Prime Minister, Narendra Modi seems to have irked the Hindu Mahasabha activists with his remarks on the cow vigilantes. Modi has come out quite progressive in his take regarding cow protection as he asked independent states to take action against self-styled “gau rakshaks” or cow protectors.
The fundamentalists, who had possibly expected Modi to support their vigilance felt betrayed after the remark and their reaction was pretty bizarre.
The Hindu Mahasabha activists said that the Prime Minister has apparently played Judas to them and have stung them like a snake. Therefore, to ridicule the PM, they were seen offering milk to a picture of Modi as if he were snake .

At a time when the NDA government has been facing flaks over the tremendous violence against Musilms and Dalits by the cow protectors in areas including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Uttar Pardesh, Modi’s remarks came across as a sensible message from a leader.
“It should be our responsibility to save and respect them (Dalits),” he said without beating around the bush, referring to some of the incidents as ‘unbearably painful’.
Good to see the PM trying to put an end to the beef politics.
