The Obama power couple is not just one of the most loved former first couples of the United States of America, but they are also the most chic at that!
A lot has been said and written about them being the most stylist couple there is, but we got out our hands on a certain revelation that might interest you.
While speaking at an event in San Jose, California, Michelle Obama said that Barack Obama is a certified outfit repeater. In fact, he wore 1 tux and 1 pair of shoes for all 8 years of his presidency!
She also said that while she was being criticised for every outfit that she ever wore by the fashion police; NO ONE noticed that the President wore the same outfit for his entire term. She said –
“This is the unfair thing. You talk about Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, no matter what we do, he puts on that same tux.
Now, people take pictures of the shoes I wear, the bracelets, the necklace ― They didn’t comment that for eight years he wore that same tux…, same shoes.”
Like every other husband, Mr. Obama was very proud that he would take no time to get ready. Michelle also reveled an inside joke that Barack used to crack up on.
“He was proud of it too,” she said. “He’s like, ‘Mm, I’m ready. I’m ready in 10 minutes. Mm, how long did it take you?’ And I’m like, ‘Get out of here.’”
And that’s how the entire world failed to notice that Mr. President got away with wearing the same tux for 8 frigging years!
So right there is another reason to love Mr. Barack Obama!
