Delhi Family Performs ‘Balcony Concerts’ To Entertain Neighbours Amid Lockdown

The coronavirus induced lockdown has started to take a toll on our mental health, hence it is extremely important to keep ourselves occupied and stress-free in these testing times. People have been trying their best to keep themselves entertained amid the lockdown.

Even world-renowned essayist and novelist Ruskin Bond is narrating a series of his short stories on All India Radio to keep its listeners engaged. Now, this musician couple from Delhi is trying to spread some positivity by keeping their neighbours entertained with their talent.

According to NDTV, musicians Hitesh Rikki Madan and his wife Payal Madan decided to grace the people next-door with ‘balcony concerts’.

The couple who performed their first ‘balcony concert’ on the day of ‘Janata Curfew‘ said that have received positive responses from their neighbours, hence they started doing their concert frequently.

“It’s a tough time for the whole world. We experimented this for the first time on Janata Curfew. We came into the balcony and perform this concert. We received positive and encouraging response from our neighbours so we performed again,” Hitesh Madan said.

The couple feels that their concert is refreshing for people living in the area. “People are getting bored at the home during lockdown so this is a very good initiative for the entertainment of people,” said a resident in the vicinity. Another resident said that the couple’s concert brings positivity in this tough time.
