Video: Instagrammer & Her Firang Friends Dance Hip-hop To ‘Badshah Masala’ Jingle From 90’s

After tensions between China and India escalated, the Indian government decided to ban scores of Chinese apps, including TikTok. However, not everyone was happy with the decision. Hence, to fill the void, Instagram launched ‘Reels’ that helps people make small videos, very similar to TikTok.

Well, there are several reasons why I am thankful that Instagram came up with a Reels option and one of them is this very entertaining and hilarious video by Instagrammer Ruhee Dosani.

Even though the Indian content creator from Punjab, now living in the United States, has been earlier seen ‘reeling’ with her ‘We Desi’ friends to desi music, this video, in particular, has a very dedicated desi fan following.

In a recently shared video, Ruhee can be seen grooving to a hip-hop version of the iconic advertisement jingle of a very popular Indian spices brand ‘Badshah Masala’. (Ask a desi 90s kid about it and I’m sure they know the jingle by heart.)

The dance video of her recreating the ad jingle is so amazing that everyone has it on their stories. Take a look at the video here:

Also, props to her videshi friends for giving such realistic expressions and not missing any beat of the desi songs. Well, like us, even the brand was impressed by her groovy remix dance. Here’s how everyone, including rapper Badshah, reacted to the LIT video:

Apparently, she’s made a ton of other entertaining videos. Take a look.

Apparently, her video became so popular that people have started recreating it too.
