We were taught many different things in school – the periodic table, algebra, geometry, world history, differential equations, cursive handwriting, etc. But we certainly didn’t ace all the classes. Some of us flunked mathematics while others failed chemistry prompting us to complain about the ‘genius’ who invented schools.
But now that we’re older, we know that not every lesson has practical uses in the real world. Bad grades don’t really define our lives and we can be successful despite them.
So, when Twitter user Rae Paoletta asked people to name the subject they got a bad grade in, everyone was more than happy to share. They went on to describe how they are currently excelling at a career in the very same field!
what's a class you got a bad grade in and thought was going to ruin your life but didn't?

Twitter proved that marks don’t matter by sharing their own examples. From successful writers who failed in English to software engineers who got barely managed to pass Computer Science when they were younger, people testified to the fact that success isn’t defined by grades.
Maths and now I’m a maths teacher!

My arrogant, spiteful professor in undergrad conservatory failed me in VOICE AND SPEECH… I transferred from that shit school, got my Masters and am now a well known VOICE actor. 👌🏽🖕🏽

Got high 60s% in molecular bio in undergrad…ended up getting a PhD in it and currently doing post doc research. Undergrad grades don't define you.

All of them. I had a horrible GPA. I wasn't an idiot, I just never did homework. I'd get A & B grades on tests and quizzes. Teachers shamed me & didn't understand & said I wouldn't succeed. 4 degrees later and I'm a Scientist. Homework is a waste.

I dropped out of chemistry in high school. I now do analytical chemistry research. So there's that.

This thread is a must-read for both students and parents, especially now because the Class X and XII Board examinations are underway and stress is at an all-time high.
