Chinese Fans Made Baahubali-Avengers: Infinity War Crossover Memes And They’re Gold!

Having grown up watching Marvel movies, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was like Christmas came in April for me. I am legit going through the five stages of grief to cope with the phenomenal ending that the movie put us through. The first time I had to watch all my favourite superheroes go up in smoke, apart from the shock and denial that I’m sure we all shared, I was angry at the Russo brothers for having done that. I mean, how could they?! Right?

The anger cooled down in a bit, because who am I kidding, I can’t stay mad at Marvel. Then came the bargaining stage. I took a friend along to watch it a second time, for you know, emotional support. Nope, didn’t make it better.

And while I was grappling with coming to terms with all that loss, the Internet led me to this:

Took a moment to rub your eyes, did you? Yeah, me too. I suspected I was seeing things in my grief. Lucky for me, but not so much for my therapist’s wallet, I wasn’t hallucinating.

Our friends across the border, over at China, have merged the ancient kingdom of Mahishmati with the Marvel Universe. Because, why not?! These very realistic looking memes have obviously gone viral.

Falcon be like “That eye makeup is on point!”.

As soon as the memes hit Twitter, desi tweeple were blown away and couldn’t contain their excitement.

Check out some of their reactions here:

1. Not a bad idea. We know the Star-Lord could use some guidance. Oh, wait. *weeps in a corner*

2. Ummm… Baahubali, that’s not the way things are done in Wakanda. Stop creeping out T’Challa will you?

3. Now that’s one poster I can’t wait to see in real life.

4. I guess his regal aura is not one diminished by a row of Avengers behind him.

5. Oh Thanos, what have you done?

6. Please make this happen! Pretty please.

7. Plot twist!

8. Okay, maybe a little bit. Just a little.

You’re probably torn at the moment. The edits look so realistic that for a second, the prospect of having an Indian avenger is just very alluring. On the other hand, our flair for the dramatics (remember Baahubali’s tree slingshot attack?) is best kept away from Marvel. Either way, thank you for the memes China. These will never get old.
