Ayushmann Khurrana blew our minds in AndhaDhun and made us laugh in Badhai Ho – 2 movies that became huge successes and how!
And now their hard work has borne fruit. Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurrana have been awarded Best Actor at the National Film Awards for Uri: The Surgical Strike and AndhaDhun, respectively. This is their first National Award.
According to sources, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer AndhaDhun won in the categories of Best Hindi Film and Adapted Screenplay. Uri also brought home awards for Best Direction, Background Music, and Sound Design. Badhai Ho was also awarded in other categories like Wholesome Entertainment and Best Supporting Actress for Surekha Sikri.
In a heartfelt note, Vicky Kaushal took to social media to express his gratitude towards being awarded such a prestigious honour:
