Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia and her family have found themselves in deep trouble after being stalked and threatened by a litigant. All the threats came in the wake of an ongoing case and via WhatsApp.
The matter came to light after Ayesha’s husband, Abu Farhan Azmi took to social media to reveal the unfortunate situation. According to The Indian Express, it is not only Ayesha who has been on the receiving end of the threats but Farhan’s mother and 7-month pregnant sister are also being harassed.

In his tweet, Frahan reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sushma Swaraj to help them out of danger. He also accused Mumbai Police and DCP Dahiya of not answering his calls and avoiding their duty of serving the public. Farhan went on to share a couple of screenshots of his conversation with the police official and the disconnected calls.
Dear Mr Dahiya DCP ZONE 9, wake up, answer my calls and help us @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice @DevenBhartiIPS @narendramodi @Dev_Fadnavis @Ayeshatakia pic.twitter.com/k73XqnYnhu

However, according to TOI, it was the Joint Commissioner of police, Deven Bharti, who came to Farhan’s rescue and called him up. Farhan in another tweet of his confirmed that Deven Bharti has assured that no one will touch his family.
Thank you @DevenBhartiIPS Ji #MumbaiPolice for stepping in. I trust the Mumbai Police. 3 rotten apples cannot spoil #theappletree 🍎 @CPMumbaiPolice @MumbaiPolice

Our wishes go out to Ayesha and her family in the tough time. Though they have received the word of Commissioner Deven Bharti, the delayed response of the Mumbai Police is a matter to be noted.
