As soon as the coronavirus pandemic struck, many desi foodies had one question – Ab street food kaise khaye?
Precautionary measures dictated that people needed to stay away from street food made and served with bare hands as it can be a major cause of the spread of the virus. However, we Indians love our chaats and pani-puris and it wasn’t late before someone actually came up with a jugaad!
According to a report by NDTV, an “automatic pani-puri machine” dispensing flavoured water was spotted in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. A video of a pani-puri seller helping his customers use the machine was posted on Twitter by IAS officer Awanish Sharan. Have a look:

People on the internet cannot wait for such machines to be installed across the country so that they can eat their favourite pani puris again! Many called it the “mother of invention”.
Indians and jugad can't be compare with anywhere or anyone else. This is my hunch that he may be an engineer.

Help make such stalls available all across the country. Not only will it bring relief to the Panipuri vendors who are facing a decline in their demands due to #COVIDー19 , it will also help satiate the tummy & tongue of bhookhads like me. 🙈🙏 https://t.co/v9I52JwvzQ

A few months back, a guy from Gujarat invented a pani-puri vending machine which dispensed ready-made phuchkas.
Thank god for such inventions! The foodie in me is waiting to gorge on some tasty pani-puris!
