Auto Driver Returns Bag With ₹80,000 Cash To Woman, She Gifts His Kids Free Education

I’m aware that we live in a big bad world, where people are conning each other, day in and day out, to make a living. But not every day is a dark pit of dejection, you know. There are times when examples of honesty come to the fore and just like that, the dwindling faith in humanity is restored.

Fortunately, this is one of those. This is one of those stories that reinstates- there is hope after all. Let me take you through it…

According to a Times of India report, an auto driver recently returned a passenger’s forgotten bag containing Rs 80,000/- cash and important documents. 

The man of the moment has been identified as Amit Gupta. Reportedly, two months ago, Sarla Namboodiri, who runs Arunodaya English School in Chembur for primary and preprimary kids, took Gupta’s auto to reach her car that was parked a little away from the institute.

But in the rush, she left her bag that didn’t just have cash, collected as school fees, but credit and debit cards, Aadhar card, driving licence, PAN card, car registration documents, two cell phones and even her house keys.

But just as she was considering to ring the police, Gupta returned to the school with the bag half an hour later. He told her that another passenger had spotted the bag and he remembered it was Namboodiri’s.

“After he left, it struck me that I hadn’t taken his contact details and I wanted to do something for him.”

And guess what? She did.

After looking out for a few days, she finally found him and rewarded the man by taking the responsibility of education of his two kids.

“I found out that he wasn’t doing well financially. I learnt that he had two kids but couldn’t afford to send them to school.

Being a former teacher and with my experience in the education sector, I decided to provide his children free education.”

Not just that. He was also felicitated and awarded Rs 10,000/- for his honesty.

This really goes on to prove that there is someone above, watching us. Just gotta do what we should!
