Motherhood is undoubtedly the greatest gift God gave to womankind. Unconditional and undying love, countless sacrifices and the generous instinct to protect her child makes it the strongest bond that exists.
And Fiona Simpson from Australia showed us exactly what motherhood is all about.
Simpson was driving in Kingaroy in Australia when the place was hit with by a severe hail-storm. She was on her way back from a coffee shop with her child and grandmother inside the car. On finding it hard to drive, she decided to stop the car and wait till the situation calms down. Speaking about the dangerous situation, she told Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC),
“I wasn’t driving very fast because I couldn’t see very well… I couldn’t see in front of me, I couldn’t even see the line on the road.”
However, the situation escalated to the worse with hailstones matching the size of a tennis ball, raining down heavily. The force was so brutal that it smashed the windows of her car, putting her child at risk.
“It was so scary but there was no time to be afraid. It just all happened so fast.”
Without a second thought, she jumped to the back seat and threw her body over her four-month-old daughter. Her heroic effort saved the kid from being hurt by the raging hails but she herself suffered cruel bruises in the process. Simpson took to Facebook to narrate the scary episode and asked people to be careful during the storm season.

She has the best reward possible, her baby is OK. But I hope some really special treat is headed her way.
