Assam Guy Turns Old TV Sets Into Cute Kennels For Puppies Giving Them Shelter From Winter

Many times it gets difficult for street dogs, especially puppies, to survive outdoors. You will find them struggling during the rainy and winter seasons which leave them with not enough space to take shelter in.

However, one man in Guwahati, Assam, named Abhijit Dowarah has been turning old television sets into adorable little kennels for dogs!

According to TNIE, with the arrival of winter, Abhijit found 7 old TV sets at his residence in Sivasagar’s Phukan Nagar.

“I thought if I can turn these into the stray dogs’ shelters, they can beat the winter chill,” he said.

Abhijit collected the TV sets, took out the unwanted parts, and used just the frame to make a dog kennel. He coloured the sets green and yellow and placed a cloth inside it so that the dogs feel comfortable. He named these kennels “Baator Ghor” which means ‘street home for dogs’.

“I have been placing several of them in the streets. I will try my best to collect more television frames and build such homes. If not I will collect some wooden boxes and place them in the streets,” he wrote on Instagram.

He posted a cute video on Instagram too. It shows the puppies setting camp inside their new home! Have a look:
