BharatPe’s Co-founder and Managing Director Ashneer Grover stirred a lot of buzz offline and online after appearing on Shark Tank India as one of the judges. However, the fintech legend resigned from his position recently. According to The Indian Express, Ashneer Grover handed over his resignation letter.

“I write this with a heavy heart as today I am being forced to bid adieu to a company of which I am a founder. I say with my head held high that today this company stands as a leader in the fintech world,” he wrote in the letter.
He alleged that the board of the company had “ousted” him for their “vested interests”.
“Since the beginning of 2022, unfortunately, I’ve been embroiled in baseless and targeted attacks on me and my family by a few individuals who are ready not only to harm me and my reputation but also harm the reputation of the company, which ostensibly they are trying to protect,” he wrote.
He further revealed that while he resigns from the position of the Managing Director and the Director of the Board of BharatPe, he will continue as the “single largest individual shareholder” of the company. This comes days after the company sacked his wife and BharatPe’s Head of Controls, Madhuri Jain Grover, over alleged “financial irregularities”.
