Groom’s Dad Books Helicopter For Newly-Wed Couple’s Bidai, Artist Adds Hilarious Commentary

There is nothing subtle about Indian weddings. Most of them are about a week-long celebration and food-fest, eye-dazzling decoration, grand entrances and a general competition on who can be more ‘extra’. With every passing year, we get to see new additions being made to the events and some of them just leave us speechless!

For example, an artist and columnist named Anurag Minus Verma took to Twitter to share an undated video of what he called a ‘Helicopter Wedding’ in Rajasthan’s Shekhawati region, reports India Today.

A helicopter was roped in by the father of the groom for the newly-wed couple to travel from the bride’s house to the groom’s after the ‘bidai’.

What makes the video hilarious is Anurag’s commentary in the background. In a comical way, he narrates the incidents and describes every moment which is bound to make you burst into laughter!

Describing what an incredible sight this is to behold, Anurag comments:

“Yaha gai bhi jaldi jaldi apna doodh nikalwaane jaa rahi hai taaki woh bhi waapas aake helicopter ko udta hua dekhe.” (The cow is running so that it can get milked soon. After that, the cow will watch the helicopter fly.)

He goes on to call a well-dressed camel a “designer ooth” as it was “dressed just like a bride”.

“Shayad duniya mein aisa pehli baar hua hai ki yuvati itna rone ke baad helicopter mein chadh rahi hai.” (Probably, this is the first time such an incident has happened in the world, wherein the bride is boarding the helicopter after shedding tears continuously.)

However, this isn’t the first time a newly-wed couple in Rajasthan flew on a helicopter after marriage. In fact, it seems like a trend that has been going on for a few years now.  For example, back in 2018, a newly-wed couple from the same area, Shekhawati, the groom took off with his bride on a helicopter.

Here’s a video that captured the incident:

Indian weddings can never fail to surprise you. Just when you think you’ve seen enough, a new trend pops up out of nowhere leaving everyone astonished!
