Artist Uses Paint And Glitter To Change The Way Women Look At Their ‘Imperfections’

spanish

No matter how hard we try, we will never truly be liberated until we shun the social evils that dictate women to lead a regressive life. Even in today’s date, women are forced to hush around menstruation, hide their stretch marks, fix their scars and other ‘imperfections’ because society demands so!

But thanks to a Barcelona-based artist who is turning these supposed flaws into ways of introducing women to a gamut of colours, and means to appreciate their body with all the authority there is in the world.

21-year-old Cinta Tort Cartró, who goes by the pen name Zinteta is on a mission and it is widening horizons for every man and woman out there.

Here are her novel depictions in paint and glitter put together in a bigger perspective.

1. Do not be afraid to be yourself. And stay so.

2. Wear your stretch marks with pride…

3. You don’t have to walk on egg shells to talk about period!

4. The sparkle of creation.

5. Wipe the word ‘shame’ from your dictionary.

6. “I stain and I do not disgust. Our flows are the rivers of life.”

7. Lose the stigma!

8. Don’t be afraid to paint the town red!

9. Embrace the inner voice…

10. And set your spirit free!

The world needs more people like Zinteta…only then maybe we will be a society free from malice and prejudice. Until then ladies, do your bit and don’t let anybody clip your wings.
