And the news anchor taking us through the verdict of each constituency on Republic TV was none other than Arnab Goswami.

Things took a hilarious turn when he was announcing the updates for BJP’s Gurdaspur (Punjab) candidate Sunny Deol. He accidentally said Sunny Leone instead.

This isn’t the first time a journalist or TV presenter has goofed up on live TV. In the past, names of foreign dignitaries have been mispronounced and other errors have been made. Perhaps it is the stressful newsroom environment or a mere slip of the tongue, such gaffes are not that uncommon. The good thing is that Mr. Goswami quickly corrected his mistake and continued reporting with the right name.
