From Being A Ground Staff To Selling Radios, Arjun Tendulkar Trains The Hard Way At Lords

While the Test at Edgbaston can be considered as a nail-biting affair, there was hardly anything for Virat Kohli and his boys in their outing at Lords. The visitors were thrashed by the Englishmen by an innings and 159 runs, which can be considered as the team’s worst performances in quite some time.

However, there was one Indian who managed grab some limelight during his time at Lords. And it’s none other than the some of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Tendulkar. Arjun, who successfully made it to the India U-19 team for the Youth-test series against Sri Lanka and also picked up a wicket in his very first over, seems to be ready for the big stage.

But it was not his talent as a cricketer that fetched him the much-needed attention, but his humble nature. When the first day’s play was hit by rains, Arjun was seen playing his part as a ground staff and helping out the other groundsmen at work. His efforts were highly appreciated by the Lord’s Cricket authorities as they shared a picture from the ground’s official Twitter handle with a beautiful mention.

Arjun who is currently in London for a training session with the MCC Young Cricketers, was present at Lord’s on the second day of the second Test between India and England.

Much like his father, this boy is taking the hard route to success. What an example!

That’s not all. A day after he played helped to clean up a rain-swept Lords, he was spotted selling radios outside the iconic stadium. It was a part of the junior cricketer’s training and was spotted by veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Bhajji went on to upload a snap from the moment on Twitter and both of them were all smiles in it.

This might look like an easy task to many, but how many of them have actually done it? Junior Tendulkar is certainly on the right track!
