On Monday, 24th of November, Arjun Rampal made the headlines of the Bombay Times for all the wrong reasons
The piece of news said that Arjun Rampal is the reason behind Sussanne Khan and Mehr Jesia’s (his wife) friendship hitting a dead end.
The piece mentioned that the reason for Sussanne and Mehr’s friendship going sour was the fact that Sussanne and Arjun were very close, and apparently took a trip overseas to be with each other.
Needless to say, the actor spoke up against the newspaper over Twitter
Bombay Times, who paid you? Who are these faceless accusers? If you have the guts reveal them first. Stay away from me and my family.

It wasn’t just Arjun who raised his voice against the article. Hrithik Roshan, whose marriage with Sussanne Khan early this month, was clearly just as shocked at the allegations.
If u people knew hw much false news is printed, d papers wud actually stop selling. I am disgusted 2day..

But powerful good people know how 2walk their truth no matter what…

Twitterverse soon took Arjun Rampal’s side and tweeted against the newspaper
@rampalarjun @priyaguptatimes it was a true low today in Bombay Times. To slander a family like this without a thought for the kids, sad.

@rampalarjun isn’t this how news sells? Disgusting how someone’s personal life becomes a canvas for everyone to paint anything on.

After deepika, @rampalarjun become a victim of yellow journalism by TOI-LET paper.. #PervertIndianMedia

@rampalarjun This is the epitome of hypocritical & unprofessional journalism. It disgusts me to see how easily they switch rumors into facts

In the light of @rampalarjun‘s story published in Bombay Times today – Do individuals not have the right to fight in court for defamation?

@BombayTimes_TOI front page ‘news’ about @rampalarjun & his wife’s marital troubles is in extremely poor taste.. @priyaguptatimes

This is the third time since September that TOI has been at the receiving end of some serious verbal bashing on the Internet, with Deepika Padukone as the first victim, inviting Tarun Tejpal to their literary fest being the second such incident.
The Internet spares none.
