Hold Your Breath Because The Latest ‘Aquaman’ Trailer Is Jaw-Droppingly Gorgeous

James Wan’s filmography has largely been populated by the horror genre, with the exception of ‘Furious 7’. So, it was quite interesting to see him not only dive into the superhero sub-genre, but also take on a character that’s often treated as a meme. But after he dropped the first trailer, it’s fair to say that he has done the character justice and also holds the potential to save the DCEU.

The first trailer for ‘Aquaman’ was a quick look into the hero’s first solo film. But now there’s a five-minute-long walk-through of Atlantis, a peek into some essential plot points and the gorgeous cinematography that’s stored in the movie.

Usually, trailers or sneak-peeks that extend beyond 3-minutes seem slow or gives away too much about the movie. That said, despite being 5-minutes long, this ‘Aquaman’ video feels breezy and reveals enough to get the audience excited. It looks drastically different from the DCEU’s previous movies and boasts of a lot of action and adventure.

Netizens were over the moon to see Aquaman in his comic-book accurate costume and enthusiastically expressed their desire to see the movie on opening day.

By the looks of it, ‘Aquaman’ will combine the character’s comic-book lore with some Shakespearean themes and inject it with a ton of thrill to get the audience cheering. And with James Wan steering the ship filled with Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, William Dafoe, Dolph Lundgreen, Nicole Kidman and Yahya Abdul-Mateen, we can’t wait for this movie to come out.
