Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak Wants A Foldable iPhone, Wants Apple To Keep Up With Trends

In a world driven by technology, foldable smartphones are the latest genius advancements, set to be introduced into the market in 2019. Various companies have already announced themselves in the race of foldable smartphones and are desperate to outclass each other with their devices. While Huawei looks ready to introduce the Mate X in 2019, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Fold at their Unpacked event in April.

But surprisingly, we haven’t seen anything from tech giant Apple, yet.

Though Apple is yet to try their hands on this particular department, Steve Wozniak, who co-founded the company along with Steve Jobs, wants the brand to work towards it. Speaking to Bloomberg, Wozniak expressed his desire to see a foldable smartphone from Apple and also wants them to be the ruling brand in this case.

“Apple has been a leader for quite a long time in a few areas such as Touch ID, (Face ID) and easy payment with the phone. They’re not the leader in areas like the folding phone, and that worries me because I really want a folding phone.”

According to BGR, Wozniak went on to say that Apple ‘always has surprises’. He also believes that the company is constantly working on new developments and the foldable phone concept is something that he would love to see.

“It’s one of those new technologies that catch my attention.”

With Apple confirming that the revenue of the company had gone down by 15 percent at the beginning of the year, it is necessary for the brand to keep up with the other smartphone brands and the latest technological advancements. And hence, Wozniak’s tip for the company is one that should be taken into consideration.
