“Anyone Who Has Picked Up A Gun Will Be Eliminated”, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon Sends Out A Strong Message

Early investigations in the vile Pulwama terror attacks made it evident that they were executed by a local youth (Adil Ahmad Dar) who joined the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Hence, the Indian Army chose out to address this pertinent issue by sending out a strong message.

Lt. Gen Dhillon has officially issued a warning to locals against resorting to militancy. In fact, he also appealed to the families. “In a Kashmiri society, mother has great role to play,” he stated. “Through you (the media), I would request the mothers of Kashmir to please request their sons who’ve joined terrorism to surrender and get back to the mainstream.

“Anyone who has picked up a gun will be killed and eliminated, unless he surrenders,” Dhillon emphasised.

He further stated that Pak’s central spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was involved in the Pulwama terror attack.

“We were tracking down top leadership since the attack. It was being controlled from across by ISI and Pakistan and JeM commanders,” Dhillon told TOI.

He also spoke of the encounter earlier this week. “We were tracking the Jaish-e-Mohammed leadership. We are happy to inform that we eliminated the Jaish leadership in the Valley, which was controlled by Pakistan in less than 100 hours after the Pulwama attack,” he said.

“Our focus is clear on counter-terrorism operations. We are very clear that anyone who enters Kashmir Valley will not go back alive,” the Lieutenant General affirmed.

Moreover, the security forces state that there has been progress. Residents of the valley dissuade their sons from joining terror cells. “There is a significant dip in recruitment, we have not see any recruitment in the last three months. The families are playing a huge role in this.

“We would like to urge the families are playing a huge role in this. We would like to urge the families and the community in curtailing recruitment,” IGP Kashmir SP Pani said.

Indeed, curtailing recruitment and uniting as a nation is our best bet at honouring the valiant Pulwama martyrs.
