‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ released over 23 years ago on 20th October 1995. It gave us some memorable songs, iconic dialogues (read: Palat) and beautiful onscreen relationships. The one between Raj and Simran was epic of course, but the bonding between Raj and his ‘Daddy cool’ was no less legendary.
Their equation in the movie was anything but usual. Instead of a relationship based on fear and strictness, they refreshingly portrayed how parents and children can be each other’s friends, supporters and confidants.
Recently, actor Anupam Kher had all of us reminiscing the reel life father-son jodi with his sweet tweet.
मेरे प्यारे @iamsrk !! बस ऐसे ही!! न्यू यॉर्क में तुम्हारी अचानक याद आयी। We have had some great times together. And then we all grew up!! Love and prayers always.😍#DilwaleDulhaniyaLeJayenge pic.twitter.com/GDrJnZCKca

Shah Rukh Khan was at his charming best when responding to the message and it got fans emotional.
Arre nahi Daddy Cool! ‘Grow up’ hon aapke dushman. Hum dono ka dil to baccha hai ji. Come back home let’s start with snakes and ladders and we can move to making sand castles in the air. Miss you. https://t.co/asgWd1N5Cb
