Sisters Amrita & Malaika Arora Hit Back At People Who Fat-Shamed Them, Called Them ‘Buddhi’

With every passing day, the internet is becoming vicious and like that quintessential aunt who always has something bad to say about everyone. Moreover, body shaming and ageism have become a common practice with several Bollywood celebs being their victims.

After beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, now it’s ‘Hello’ actor Amrita Arora, her sister Malaika Arora and their BFF Kareena Kapoor Khan who are being age shamed and called ‘buddhi’ online.

The three friends recently attended Karan Johar’s 50 birthday party in bomb dresses the picture of which was posted online. While their picture was loved by all, a section of people online thought they looked old and went ahead to write insensitive comments. Amrita was also fat-shamed.

But Amrita was in no mood to take the hatred. Hence, she called out a bunch of people for insulting them by suggesting they are old.

Taking a screengrab of the comment, she wrote:

“I keep seeing this on comments. If and when I bother to check unless it’s the one that comes up on top! So…buddhi is meant to be an insult?? Cos for me it’s just a word… a word that means old? Yes we are older and wiser but you are nameless, faceless, ageless? And so are your folks?”

In another IG story, Amrita addressed those who shamed her for gaining weight and said her weight is her problem.

“Also got a lot of hate on my weight gain! I own it …I love it ..my weight my problem! Since when has everything become everyone’s issue! Ohhh ya since social media gives … I give zero f’ssss … so pls go on, and I’ll name and shame! Ha!”

And among the many people who shared her stories and lauded her courage to call out haters was her sister Malaika who commented that it’s not cool to fat shame anyone.

Seriously, guys, this is going out of hand. People are aging and a lot of things are happening in their lives. Let’s just be appreciative of them and mind our own businesses for God’s sake!
