On June 3, 1973, Bollywood superstars Jaya & Amitabh Bachchan tied the knot. Today, on their 47th wedding anniversary, Big B shared glimpses from the ceremony and also recalled the events that led up to it.
According to NDTV, the ‘Zanjeer’ actor wanted to celebrate the movie’s success with a London trip with Jaya. However, his father, late Harivansh Rai Bachchan, asked him to get hitched first.

Had decided if 'Zanjeer' succeeded we, with few friends would go to London, first time, to celebrate ..
Father asked who you going with ?

Shweta and Abhishek Bachchan also shared old photographs of their parents and wished them on their special day.
Is it just us or does international travel seem like something that happened ages ago in the pre-coronavirus era? Until the world reopens again, all we can do is reminisce about past travel plans and the wonderful memories associated with them.
