“Aliens Exist”, Says Helen Sharman, The Youngest British Astronaut To Enter Space

Since times immemorial, we have been listening about aliens and life beyond Earth. Many Bollywood and Hollywood movies like ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and ‘Invaders From Mars’ and many other sci-fi movies have depicted a world where these extra-terrestrial creatures exist. Although aliens might seem like an imaginary creature, their existence in our universe has been a topic of debate.

However, Dr Helen Sharman, the first British astronaut to go to space, said that ‘aliens exist, there are no two ways about it.’ Helen, who went into space 28 years ago, said “all sorts of forms of life” exist in the universe. We “simply can’t see them” as they are so different from humans.

The Telegraph reported the 56-year-old astronaut as saying:

“Aliens exist, there are no two ways about it.”

“There are so many billions of stars out there in the universe that there must be all sorts of forms of life. Will they be like you and me, made up of carbon and nitrogen? Maybe not. She went on to say:

“It’s possible they’re right here right now and we simply can’t see them.”

The first of seven Britons to enter space, Helen spent eight days as a researcher on the space mission when she was 27. She made history when she participated in a mission to the Russian modular space station Mir in May 1991. Helen is one of the youngest people to enter space in 1992, reports CNN.

However, Sharman is not the only person to speculate that we might be sharing our space with aliens. A former Pentagon official, Luis Elizondo who led a secret government program to research potential UFOs, said in an interview to CNN in 2017 that ‘we may not be alone’. “My personal belief is that there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone,” Elizondo said.

If going by what these experts said, it’s time to ask the person sitting next to you, ‘Jaadu, is that you?’
