The 2022 Indian Telugu-language epic action drama film ‘RRR‘ has taken over the world stage and won several accolades including a ‘Golden Globe Award’, two Critics Choice Awards, and an Oscar nomination. It has also won five Hollywood Critics Association Awards (HCAA).
The S. S. Rajamouli-directed movie also stars Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in minuscule roles.

For her role as Sita in the movie, Alia has also won the spotlight award at the HCAA.
Those who have watched the movie can vouch that Alia was seen for a couple of minutes in the movie which obviously didn’t define the narrative of the film. According to reports, she hardly had a 15-minute play time in the movie as opposed to Ajay Devgn’s 8 mins.
Despite that, the fact that the movie is credited as Alia’s film has got the worst of people online. Earlier, people slammed Harper’s Bazaar for its headline ‘Alia Bhatt’s Film RRR Wins A Golden Globe Award’.

Now, the actor winning the acclaimed award for the ‘shortest role of her career’ has irked people online.
People thought her PR team has been doing too much to get her credit for her ‘small role’ in the film. The fact that they’re cashing in on her presence in the movie annoyed people online who called her ‘insecure’.
Here’s how they reacted:
Revealing how she backed the film, Alia said that she directly went to SS Rajamouli when she spotted him at the Hyderabad airport and directly asked him for an opportunity in his films.
Well, what do you think of this? Is it a PR strategy to make it look like she is on top of her game or Alia really reserved the award?
