Listen, I’m going to be very honest here. For a movie that claims to have been made on a budget of more than Rs 300 crore, the costumes that Alia and Ranbir were made to wear were very underwhelming. It was especially disappointing when Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ had such memorable looks, especially for Deepika. I mean, whether it was DeePee wearing white shorts and an orange shirt in ‘Balam Pichkari’ or that blue saree in ‘Badtameez Dil’, her fuzzy sweaters and glasses to that yellow and pink combination lehenga in ‘Kabira’, every frame that DeePee was in made her stand out.
I think the only memorable look that Alia Bhatt had in ‘Brahmastra’ was her red saree outfit inside that Maa Kali pandal. Not even her mustard-yellow crop top with a long skirt look or her all-black outfit with black long boots make the cut.
In most of the film, she was made to dress rather sloppily – skinny jeans, a t-shirt and occasionally a shrug on top. Funnily, a Twitter user shared how Alia’s look in one of the scenes was very similar to Bandya’s look (played by Rajpal Yadav) in the film ‘Chup Chup Ke’.
In the two pictures shared by the user, both the actors can be seen wearing a similar light pink coloured V-neck top with pants.
Can't believe Alia tried to steal Bandya's look in Brahmastra pic.twitter.com/vuzOaKDLVU

And several people online agreed that Isha in ‘Brahmastra’ stole Bandya’s look! Here’s what some of them said:
There’s always a copy of original 🤷🏻♀️

I think makers spend whole money on VFX so that he could no afford good dialogue writer and new costume for cast 😅

Can we all agree that the costume department of ‘Brahmastra’ needs to do better?
