Alanna Panday Calls Out Woman For Saying She “Deserves To Be Raped” On Bikini Pic

In the past, actors Sonakshi Sinha and Vidya Balan have spoken up against fat-shaming and being grilled for their weight. Recently, influencer Alanna Panday (Ananya Panday’s cousin and Chunky Panday’s niece) revealed that she deals with negative comments about being “flat” and having a “small ass” every single day.

According to The Times of India, she highlighted the skinny shaming by saying, “I know I’m not perfect, I still LOVE my body. Stop body shaming women. I have to wake up every day and read the nastiest comments, from people that don’t know me as human. What’s worse than waking up to hateful comments about my body every day, is that it comes from other women. I didn’t choose this body I was born with it.”

She added, “When I went to her profile to block her I saw that she was married and had a daughter a little younger than me. I don’t understand how you can wish that upon someone else’s child. Educated women in our country still talk/think like this. According to her bio, she’s either a doctor or a nurse.”

Hindustan Times quoted her mother and fitness expert Deanne Panday saying, “This is the same person who sent me messages saying I am bringing up my daughter in the wrong way and I should be ashamed .. that you are influenced by Bollywood so that’s why you wear less clothes. She also said you have no assets .. so you wear these clothes for attention.”

All forms of body shaming (i.e. humiliating anyone for their size) are harmful and need to stop, don’t you think?
