On March 27, a brawl broke out in Delhi’s Aerocity after one person’s vehicle nicked another vehicle. Several people including security guards got involved to break up the fight and someone also captured it on video. After the video went viral, rumours started flying around that one of the persons involved was actor Ajay Devgn.
According to HT, two men (31-year-old Taranjit Singh and 29-year-old Naveen Kumar) have been arrested in the incident by police officials confirming “we registered a case under sections of affray and other relevant sections for violation of coronavirus protocols”.

India Today quoted the actor’s spokesperson saying,
“Post the promotion of Tanhaji-The Unsung Warrior in January 2020, Actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn has not visited Delhi. So media reports of a brawl involving the superstar outside a Delhi pub are absolutely baseless and untrue. We request news agencies and media to please note that Mr. Devgn has been in Mumbai the entire time shooting for Maidaan, MayDay, and Gangubai Kathiawadu and he hasn’t set foot in the Capital in 14 months. Request all media to please cross-check before putting out anything.”
He himself clarified on Twitter that the person was a ‘doppelganger’.
Some ‘doppelgänger’ of mine seems to have got into trouble.
I’ve been getting concerned calls. Just clarifying, I’ve not traveled anywhere. All reports regarding me being in any brawl are baseless. Happy Holi— Ajay Devgn (@ajaydevgn) March 29, 2021
We hope the cops investigate the matter and bring it to a close at the earliest.
