The Cannes 2018 red carpet has been painted all shades of stunning by B-town celebs who’ve been killing it at the film festival. From Deepika Padukone’s daring pink ensemble to Kangana’s desi Audrey Hepburn look, we’ve got a bag full of fabulous.
However, everyone needs to step aside, cause Aishwarya’s here now. She’s always taken the fashion quotient up a notch. I mean, who all remember Ash’s looks from the past appearances? Those purple lips or that Cinderella moment, that’s one for the ages.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been deemed the ‘Queen of Cannes’ by her fans and rightly so. This year marks her 17th appearance at the film festival and by golly does she look ultra-gorgeous doing it.
Just look at that trail. Doesn’t the dress remind you of a iridescent butterfly? Well, if anyone in B-town is a Madam Butterfly, it’s Ash!
The ensemble was designed by Michael Cinco and was a mixture of purple, red, violet and blue thread-work. It was also embellished with Swarovski crystals and French pailettes.
Hair flips when you feel fancy AF?! ALWAYS!
She let the dress be the star of the show and went with minimal accessories. She let her hair down in a sleek, straight fashion.

On the designer’s Insta page it said, “The 10-foot long train took 3,000 of man-hours to finish and intricately hand crafted to make it this exquisitely flighty and timeless.”
3,000 work hours of handcrafted hard work. This is truly art.
The film festival was made even more special because little Aaradhya was by mommy’s side the entire time.

The actress also wore this pastel, sequin Manish Arora gown for the media interaction at the film festival.
She wore her hair down, but this time in soft waves. The beach look is done stunningly, we love it!
But Aishwarya’s third look is what the superstar is known and loved for- being experimental on the red carpet.
While she didn’t go too crazy with the couture, it was her up-do that’s got everybody talking. No one does it quite like this diva!
The 44-year-old actress opted for Rami Kadi couture for her second red carpet and it was everything glitzy. This time Aishwarya Rai has proved that too much glitter and sparkles is never a bad thing.
The complete look was sliver and crystals, from her dress to her eye-shadow. She paired it with pinky-nude lips and a summer bronze skin.
Our very own Bachchan bahu recently made her Insta debut and shared a picture with her little girl. “Happiest mama in the world”, Ash wrote.

She even got her femme-fatale on in this chic all-black Giorgio Armani pant suit and Aishwarya paired it with net detailed heels and a black clutch. She kept the entire get-up classic and finished it off with a bold red lip.
So guys, hail to the queen cause Cannes without this lady is just not complete.
Ash is now done with the film festival for this year but hold on to your horses, because the fashion icon, Sonam Kapoor is taking over. And from one glam legend to the other, we can’t wait for tinsel town to dazzle globally again!
