Despite the increasing awareness about educating our young, there are still places in the world where children are denied these rights. Or they are unable to afford school. Forget higher education, even basic studies are a dream for many people even today. Even the society sometimes becomes a hindrance to people seeking education.
But an inspiring story comes along once in a while and takes us all by surprise.
A picture of an Afghan woman taking an entrance exam while sitting on the floor and nursing her two-month-old baby is taking the internet by storm.

According to CNN, 25-year-old Jahan Taab was taking an exam called the Kankor exam, a high-stakes entrance exam for the social science course at Nasirkhosraw Higher Education Institute in Nilli city. She has three children and travelled six to eight hours from her native village of Hoshto, in Miramar district to take the exam.
Yahya Erfan, the teacher who was monitoring the exam said that Jahan got up and sat cross-legged on the floor after her baby started crying and she had to nurse it. He said,
“It was amazing and all of the classmates were in admiration of her.”
Jahan is married to a farmer and cannot afford college fees, Erfan said.
Meanwhile, after her picture went viral, Afghan Youth Association, a British organization launched a GoFundMe campaign to sponsor her studies.
Even others are trying to spread the news about her feat to gather help to fund her education.
Is here a way people can help?…beyond GoFundMe pages… maybe Afghan clubs in uni’s should joint forces and help with educational fees for #JahanTaab Where’s all that cupcake $ goin? https://t.co/nkmofesKcw

On a brighter side, Jahan Taab did clear the exam by scoring a good 152 points.
It is really indeed really beautiful to see the extent to which women can go to puruse their dreams. This also serves as proof and motivation for people who think that bearing a child means an end of a woman’s dreams, careers and aspirations. Women are strong as hell and they can do whatever they set their heart to.
