Growing up, we used to collect (read: hoard) a lot of things like seashells from the beach, acorns from oak trees, action figures, tazos, toy cars, and even cuddly soft toys. But our parents preserved memories in the form of our baby clothes, drawings we made in school, annual report cards and of course a gazillion photos and videos!
With Children’s Day being celebrated yesterday, a lot of these nostalgic moments were shared on social media. Throwback pictures, fun anecdotes, and embarrassing incidents peppered our timelines.
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan also commemorated the special day by posting an old letter Abhishek wrote to him as a kid.
T 3549 – Abhishek in his glory .. a letter to me when I was away on a long outdoor schedule ..

It began with “We are all well, I miss you very much,” and ended with “I am naughty sometimes. I love you papa.”
Twitter simply couldn’t handle young Abhishek’s cuteness and caring nature evident in the heartfelt letter. The post soon amassed 34,000 likes and 2,000 retweets with many reminiscing the lost art of letter writing.
Here is how Junior Bachchan reacted after seeing the letter.
. @SrBachchan evidently before I took a creative letter writing course. 🤦🏽♂️ https://t.co/VWWMISYgat

How did you guys celebrate ‘Bal Diwas’ – by flipping through old albums with embarrassing photos, sharing memes or working because no chutti?
