As Government Makes Aadhaar Card Mandatory, Twitter Makes It Compulsory To Make Jokes

When it was introduced in the year 2009 by the government of Manmohan Singh, Aadhaar Card was labelled as a ‘flawed system’ and a ‘gateway for illegal Bangladeshi migrants to get validity in India’ by the NDA. Here is a tweet from 2014 by PM Modi.

However, as they rose to power, NDA’s hatred for Aadhaar suddenly turned into love and now they are making it mandatory to avail a number of services. Recently, the government made it mandatory to have an Aadhaar card in order to file Income Tax return and get a PAN Card.
