As a kid, most of us used to prepare a long list of gifts we wished Santa Claus to bring for us on Christmas eve. After all, Christmas is all about lots and lots of presents. In fact, even today, as grown-ups we can’t stop asking God and Santa to fulfill all our wishes.
But a 9-year-old girl says that she thought long and hard but found that she had everything she needed and wanted nothing else from Santa. It all began when Emilia Burgio’s parents asked her to prepare a list of things she would want as a gift from Santa Claus this Christmas. But her parents were surprised to the list she handed over to them later, reports Mirror.
She wrote a letter to Santa thanking him for his time and said that she has already got the best family and friends and did not wished for anything else. She, however, listed just two items she would love to have ‘only if Santa could manage from his busy schedule’.
“To Santa, I have been thinking long and hard what I want for Christmas. And realized that I have everything already the best family and friend already. But there are one or two things I would like to please, but only if you have time because I know you will already have a lot to do,” she wrote, reports Today News.
“Thank you for your time,” she added.
The girl’s father posted a picture of her adorable letter on Facebook and wrote, “It made us feel we are doing something right. She is very sensitive and very concerned about what other people are thinking.”
Many were moved by the girl’s beautiful and sensible letter to Santa.
The 9-year-old has truly inspired many to give up on greed and be happy and satisfied with whatever we have.
