After Getting Scolded For Doodling In Class, 9 YO Gets Hired To Decorate A Restaurant!

Gone are the days when people followed traditional routes to earn money. Nowadays, creative pursuits like product styling, footwear designing, gaming, and even doodling are legit career options. And they don’t necessarily require degrees and certifications, just talent.

9-year-old Joe Whale loves to doodle. The student from Shrewsbury, England, got into trouble for doing it during class but his parents (Vanessa and Greg Whale) supported his passion by enrolling him at an after-school art class reports Metro UK.

His father reveals,

“He was in school getting frustrated at the little amount of art he could do so he used to doodle on the table’s whiteboard in class and get into trouble for doodling. His mum and I decided to get him into an art class outside of school called Bloom, he’s been there for about six weeks and he loves every minute of it.”

According to Yahoo News, his art teacher loved his drawings so much that she shared them on her Instagram handle which caught the attention of a local restaurant named “Number 4”. Soon after, they hired him to do an art piece on their main dining room wall.

His father further adds,

“Joe loves doodling and we’re so proud of everything he’s achieving, the fact that a completely independent business has asked our nine-year-old son to do a professional piece of work for them is incredible.”
