7 Besties Make A Pact To Grow Old Together, Pool In Money & Buy ₹4 Crore Dream Home!

People say that you can’t choose your family but you CAN choose your friends. Which is probably why sometimes our friendships are stronger than the bonds of flesh and blood. Even pop culture has many examples of this close relationship; most popular of which is the show F.R.I.E.N.D.S. There’s also HIMYM, SATC and many more.

Just like the way BFFs in these shows have pacts with each other, 7 best girlfriends from China made one to live together after retirement. According to Business Insider, they pooled in money to purchase a 7,535-square-foot, three-story home in Guangzhou for $584,000 (Rs. 4 crores approximately) and had it renovated to their liking.

The remodelled house has floor-to-ceiling windows, a swimming pool, a tea room and private bedrooms for each woman. New York Post quoted them saying,

“We’ve known each other for over 20 years. We were colleagues, and sometimes we are even closer than siblings. [At first] it was just a joke. We [said that we] would get together when we were 60 and live the retired life together.”

But they decided not to wait or put their dreams on hold any longer. Here’s their story.

Speaking of their future plans they said,

“We’ll probably cook together, barbecue in the fields, sing and collect food in the village. We joke that each of us should practice one skill so that we won’t be lonely and fight with each other 10 years later … Some can cook beautiful food, some know traditional Chinese medicine, some play instruments and some grow vegetables.”

They further added,

“Ten or 15 years later our children might have grown up so we also hope that we can still be together in the next years.”
