Hyderabad Shocker: 3 Year-Old Assaulted By Women Helpers At Day Care, Insert Stones In Private Parts

A three and a half-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by two women helpers at a daycare center in Hyderabad. The incident that reportedly happened on April 10, came to light on Sunday.

The parents of the toddler who work as software engineers in the IT hub on the outskirts of the city took their child to a private hospital after she started having nightmares. Later on, bloodstains were also seen on her clothes. She was, later on, shifted to a public hospital, Niloufer hospital, in Hyderabad.

The parents of the kid claimed that stones and sticks were inserted in her private parts, reported NDTV. “It was alleged that the ayahs (who were taking care of the children) had inserted a stone in the private parts of the child. The child was sent for medical examination,” said Venkateswara Rao, a senior officer of the local police.

The police have identified the accused but they are absconding. A case has also been registered under the strict Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The child welfare activists have also demanded an immediate arrest of the accused in the horrifying incident.

The girl was treated and given discharge from the hospital on Sunday. Several cases of child abuse have been coming to light in Telangana for a couple of years. As far as facts are concerned, the city has witnessed 30 such cases by March this year.

Horrifying cases of child abuse and murder in school premises is on a rise since the past few years. Its high time strict rules are enforced to ensure child safety in schools.
