Kerala’s 10 YO Footballer Masters Difficult Corner Kick, Scores ‘Zero-Degree’ Goal; Watch Video

We Indians love cricket. While it remains the most celebrated game in the country, other sports like football, tennis, chess, are also quite popular. In fact, there are several Indians who avidly follow international football players and tournaments.

And if you’re a football fanatic, you know it’s not easy ‘to bend it like Beckham’. There are a few handful players like Thierry Henry, Toni Kroos, who can score a goal with a corner kick. For the uninitiated, it’s difficult to get the right angle while taking a goal from the corner of the field.

However, 10-year-old Dani PK from Kerala nailed the shot by scoring a goal from the impossible angle. He scored the corner kick during the All Kerala Kids Football tournament which was held at Meenangadi, reports the Business Standard.

According to reports, the sensational goal has apparently earned Dani the nickname of ‘Lionel’. Have a look at his ‘zero angle’ goal:

His now-viral goal was shared by the former Indian captain, Inivalappil Mani Vijayan on twitter. Have a look at his tweet:

Incidentally, he also scored a hattrick in the same match. He took 13 goals during the match and was adjudged the ‘Player of the Tournament’. Dani, who studies in the fifth standard of Presentation School in Kozhikode district, plays for Kerala Football Training Centre (KFTC) club.

“Football is his favourite sport. He loves it so much that no matter how many footballs we buy him, he always asks for another,” Abu Hashim, Dani’s father was quoted saying by the INDIAN EXPRESS. “Dani swears by Barcelona. So, no prizes for guessing who his footballing idol is,” he added.
