It seems YouTube has decided to follow Facebook’s lead.
The Product Lead, Immersive Experiences at YouTube, Kurt Wilms has announced that YouTube will be a live streaming app as well for every smartphone holding person on the planet soon.
He said, “Today, we are announcing a new chapter in bringing the power of live video to creators everywhere. Soon, we’ll be putting the power of YouTube live-streaming in the palm of your hands,” in a blog post.
For a while, only a few channels like the Young Turks and AIB, present at Vidcon, will be allowed to access it.
Possibly Youtube’s existing infrastructure will give it an edge over other live streaming platforms. But however, it could be one of the greatest steps forward in technology.
