Who doesn’t like having treats, eh? Well, so does Dinesh Upadhyaya, but his favourite treats are slightly different from what people normally like having.
Upadhyaya, a science teacher from India, likes to put huge loads of things like golf balls, lit candles, glass test tubes, pencils, to name a few. He holds 48 world records for putting a massive amount of (you won’t want to put in your mouth) objects in his mouth.
Some of his records constitute of holding 92 pencils, 79 grapes, and 12 lit candles in his facial cavity. The science teacher, lovingly named ‘Maximouth’ for his mouth stuffing abilities, has broken another record recently – by cramming 1001 straws into his mouth.
Unlike Spiderman and the likes of him, Upadhyaya’s super power is acquired, and not given by genetically altered spiders. Though he did have a rather large mouth to begin with, he has also been practising for 5 years by using fingers to stretch the opening of his mouth as much as possible. He also practises yoga and breathing exercises. His ‘dream is to break all possible mouth stuffing records as soon as possible.’
Why on earth, you ask? Yeah, I’ve been asking myself the same.
