This White Tiger Going From Chennai To Udaipur Zoo Understands Only Tamil!

India is home to innumerable languages and even more dialects. Every 20 kms, the way of speaking a particular language may change. In a country like ours, it’s as it is difficult for humans to communicate, what would you say about animals?

A 5-year-old white tiger named Rama, is being transferred from Chennai’s Arignar Anna Zoological Park to Udaipur’s Sajjangarh Biological Park under an exchange for two wolves. The dilemma is that he understands command in Tamil!

This unforeseeable problem may be solved if a Tamil speaking caretaker accompanies him to Udaipur. This is what the DFO and in-charge of Sajjangarh Biological Park, T Mohanraj, who hails from Chennai, said in a letter that has been sent to the director of the Chennai zoo.

“Either the tiger learns Mewari language or the caretakers here learn Tamil.”

Are you still complaining that you don’t understand what people around you say? 😛
