10 Wedding Fashion Trends Every Bride-To-Be Needs To Know

“The groom always smiles proudly because he’s convinced he’s accomplished something quite wonderful. The bride smiles because she’s been able to convince him of it.” ― Judith McNaught

Every bride wants to be the most beautiful woman in the world on her special day. Wedding season is about to start in a few months, which means that your shopping has already begun. Now, there are so many things that you might be confused about and we are here to help you a bit with it (or increase your confusion. You never know).

Indian weddings hold so much traditional value and it would be wrong if we try to change that. What we can do is alter some conventional dressing trends which will make you a head turner in all the branched out functions and the sundowner. 😉

1. Go multicolour!

It’s always been about reds and pinks and oranges. Why not try something different this time? The royal blue, or different shades of white, peach, yellow etc. You will definitely stand out, plus your ensemble will be like a breath of fresh air.

2. The statement back

Deep back cuts are extremely common these days. So, if you choose to go for a backless outfit, make sure it’s off the conventional trend chart and set your own statement.

3. Black & White is always a win

Black is not considered as an auspicious colour for wedding, so you might not be carrying that on your D-day, but for other peripheral functions, a stunning ensemble in black and white will rule the evening.

4. Neon ghagras will steal the show

Yes, it’s too much out there but if you are one of those people who like it loud and ‘jhatak’ you will love them. Pastel coloured choli paired with a neon ghagra is a perfect pick for your mehendi or sangeet ceremony.

5. Say hello to jackets!

Who says you can’t carry a chic jacket with Indian outfit. It might sound unusual but it’s a great option for winter brides. It’s stylish and will go with both your saree and lehanga. You have so many options like plain, velvet, intricate embroidery, heavy beadwork, beautiful embellishments, etc.

6. Why forget long cholis?

Extremely chic and gorgeous long cholis on your lehanga will deck up your look and make you stand out. It’s striking, comfortable and there is so much scope of experimentation.

7. You can try fusion gowns

I personally have never been a fan of Indian gowns, but if you choose the right designer and right colours, you can rock that look. They are elegant and they will be perfect for your cocktail or sangeet party.

8. Don’t shy away from off shoulders

Tube tops and dresses can sometimes be considered as inappropriate for an Indian wedding, but if you fuse the off shoulder with your bridal outfit, it looks really elegant and graceful. Don’t hesitate from trying something new.

9. Go all gold

It can be little bold to carry the gold outfit, jewellery and make-up all together; but if you have got it in you, then don’t think twice before going for that look. You are going to kill it.

10. And… if you decide to go red, do it right!

Team it up with gold make-up and stunning jewellery. Don’t let it have too much red or it will loose its charm. And when it comes to choosing the perfect outfit, always pick something which you have not seen already a lot of times.

Hope this was helpful.

If you are getting married this season, we wish you a wonderful life ahead. 🙂
