Anil Kumble stepped down as the coach of the Indian Cricket Team and all hell broke loose. The nation mourned this decision and according to many reports, it was because of the strained relationship with the skipper of the team, Virat Kohli, Coach Kumble decided to take this massive step.
In what, seems to be a hint in that direction is that Virat Kohli has deleted his welcome tweet to the former coach. Dated 23rd June 2016, the tweet said-
“Heartiest welcome to Anil Kumble (sic) Sir. Look forward to taking your tenure with us. Great things in store for India cricket with you.”
While Kohli has deleted his tweet, Anil Kumble’s reply still exists.
What happened between the two is something only Kumble and Kohli can tell us. But we hope Cricket is not the biggest loser in this fiasco.
Guess, somethings are just too good to be true!
