Virat And Hardik’s Clever Trick To Tackle Bowlers Caught On Stump Mic

We all remember the infamous climatic scene of ‘Chak De India‘ where SRK telepathically helps his star player understand the opposite player’s strategy and thus dodge the bullet, right? What if I told you that our cricketers do that (well, almost) during their matches too?

After today’s video of Virat Kohli using abusive language on field got the Twitterati’s attention, another video surfaced too. The second video captured Kohli and Hardik Pandya working in tandem, putting a well-thought strategy in place to improve their performance.

In a series of two videos posted on Twitter, you can observe the partnership and agreed-upon strategy between Virat and Hardik.

Part 1 of the video shows Virat’s bat position change as the bowler approaches. It is supposed to be a sign of inswinger or outswinger bowling for Hardik Pandya.

In Part 2 on the other hand, you can hear Virat, I’m assuming again thanks to the stump mic, discussing his plan of action with Hardik.

In case you missed it, this is the conversation that transpired between Virat and Hardik in the second video.

“Kohli: Yahan pe change kiya.

Hardik: Andar ke liye leke hi bhaagaa tha.

Kohli: Jo leke niklega agar change karega toh uska opposite hai.

Hardik: Main bataaun aapko?

Kohli: Nahin nahin, mujhe dikha, main bataa raha hun.”

This is obviously not the first time or cricketer have worked in partnership and developed strategies to overcome hurdles during the match. Remember Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid? Well, we do too.

It’s amazing how these sportsmen devise strategies and communicate with mere body gestures. After all, this what makes them such a powerful team.
