We Know How Uncle Benjen Came To Jon’s Rescue At The Exact Moment And It’s F**king Awesome

Uncle-Benjen-Jon-Snow-Episode-Six

Disclaimer: The post is dark and full of spoilers, tread carefully.

Game of Thrones‘s penultimate episode has left us scratching our heads like crazy and we have been watching bits of the episode over and over again. Like, the Viserion bit (*cries in a corner*), the weird thing Jon Snow’s sword Longclaw did, the battle scenes, the last scene, and a lot more.

We told you how Longclaw’s eyes popped open when Jon resurfaced to the icy exteriors and felt the chills. Yeah, this one.

After that, when Jon was being surrounded by the army of dead yet again, we lost hope that he would make it alive.

Longclaw-Episode-6

But right at that moment, a hooded figure came riding on his horse, wielding a flaming chain and he burnt the wights. Ooohhhh!!!

*chills*

We screamed, ‘Uncle Benjen’, while heaving a sigh of relief.

He then sends Jon away, on his horse, to the wall and stays back to fight the dead.

Were you like, how did he come there at the exact moment and reach there in time out of nowhere? Well, we had a burning itch to find the answer. And, we did.

Getting back to the Longclaw’s eyes.

We told you that our guess is that Bran warged into the sword. And, he did. Since he is The Three-Eyed Raven now, he can SEE things, warg into things, have visions and communicate with whoever he wants to. He contacted his Uncle Benjen and asked him to come to Jon’s rescue asap.

We read also it on The Independent, and the theory sticks. Since he could see where Jon was, Bran sent Benjen to the spot. Uncle Ben reached there in nick of time, right before our King in The North could’ve turned Dinner of the Dead (or Lunch. Hard to tell what time of the day it was).

But, we are pretty sure it was Bran who saved Jon. Remember in season six, when Benjen rescues Bran and Meera, he says that “the Three-Eyed Raven requested it”?

So this time too, Three-Eye Raven i.e. Bran requested him.

Woahhh! :O :O :O

Dude, it makes so much sense now. Doesn’t it?

Uncle Benjen returned to the show and now has bidden us adieu too.

In case you are wondering what had happened to him, then we would like to remind you how when he was the First Ranger in The Night’s Watch, he was saved by the Children of the Forest. He was attacked by a White Walker, who shoved an ice-sword in his heart. When the Children found him, they prevented him from turning into a wight by inserting a piece of dragonglass into his heart.

Since ancient spells carved into the foundation of the Wall prevented the dead from passing through it, Benjen used to stay on the other side of the wall (he was still counted as dead).

Thank God, Bran used his skills and saved Jon with Benjen. Because Jon’s and Viserion’s death in one single episode would’ve literally killed us.
