Whenever Rahul Gandhi gives a speech, you know there’s material for the web to talk about it later. And not disappointing people this time too, the Vice President of the Indian National Congress, at the launch of Indira Canteen, made two speech gaffes in just about one sentence.

Indira Canteen promises hygienic meals for affordable prices of ₹5 for breakfast and ₹10 for dinner. During his speech, Rahul said,

“The chief minister has mentioned to me that Bangalore is just the beginning. Soon, over the next couple of months, every single city in Bangalore, every single poor person in every single city in Bangalore will feel that in the state of Karnataka, under Siddaramaiah government, ‘I simply cannot go hungry’. That is the vision of the Amma…Indira Canteen.

And, then what? Twitter mercilessly trolled him.

1. Well, ummm!

2. Can it be?

3. He’s got a point.

4. That’s so true.

5. We have the same query.

6. This one’s too legit!

7. That he sure is!

8. By his logic, seems plausible.

9. *Inside out*

10. Some are even hailing him as a comedy king.

11. Those who don’t have money to buy food, have the money to buy a smartphone? What logic is that?

12. You never know!

13. Aah! Let’s not talk about that now!

14. #Facepalm

These are not all. People have some “not so nice” things to say about him, which we don’t wanna put here. You may check it out on your Twitter-feed.
